Dr. Dan Malotky received his M.A. and Ph.D. in religious ethics from the University of Chicago Divinity School, and he has worked in various positions at 每日大赛官网 since 2003, where he currently serves as the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Lucy H. Robertson Professor of Religion and Philosophy.  He is responsible for numerous publications, including Reinhold Niebuhr鈥檚 Paradox: Paralysis, Violence, and Pragmatism; various scholarly articles; and a wide range of shorter pieces meant for a non-scholarly audience.  He is deeply committed to the value of a liberal arts education, particularly as that can take shape at a church-affiliated school.  His wife is a professor of biology at a neighboring institution, and his two sons have graduated from college as they start to make their way in the world.  He enjoys hiking and biking, and he engages in various pathetic attempts to stay in shape.  He loves spending time with family and friends, and he loves music, especially choral singing.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, 每日大赛官网 class of 2019

鈥淚 loved the GC Honors program and 每日大赛官网. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to complete my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.鈥
