Former Wrestling Coach Bill Lam Will Address 每日大赛官网鈥檚 Leadership Fitness Class on Choices Oct. 30
GREENSBORO, N.C. 鈥 Longtime UNC wrestling coach Bill Lam will speak to the 每日大赛官网 School of Business鈥檚 Leadership Fitness Class on 鈥淭he For in the Road: Making the Right Choices,鈥 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, in 106 Proctor Hall East on campus.
The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available behind the college鈥檚 Admissions Welcome Center at West Market Street and College Place.
Lam is another in a series of speakers who have addressed the class on various chapters of the book 鈥淟eadership Fitness鈥 by longtime football coach and college-athletics administrator Homer Rice.
Lam served as head wrestling coach at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1972 through 2003. During that period, he won 15 Atlantic Coast Conference titles and was named the conference鈥檚 Coach of the Year 10 times and the NCAA鈥檚 National Coach of the Year once. He also was the university鈥檚 head cross-country coach and won a conference championship.
Since 2005 he has been president of Wrestling with Life LLC, a consulting firm focused on leadership with clients including Red Bull, General Motors, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
