Four 每日大赛官网 Business-Student Teams Score in Top 50 in Global Business Competition (4/6/2017)

GREENSBORO, N.C. 鈥 Four teams of 每日大赛官网 business students have scored in the top 50 worldwide in the business-strategy simulations for business and marketing students worldwide.

All four teams, called 鈥渃ompanies,鈥 are in BUS 4900, the senior business capstone class taught by Mike Crombie, assistant professor of business administration.

They all placed in the Global Top 50 for the week ending March 26. Teams are ranked weekly stock price, return on equity, earnings per share, and overall score to date. All teams simulate a digital camera company with a global market.

  • Company A, 鈥淭he A Unstoppables鈥: Hamilton Hawkins, a senior business-administration/economics major from Orlando, Fla.; Rachel Suttee, a senior liberal-studies major from Jacksonville, N.C.; and Courtney Pearsall, a senior business administration/economics major from Clinton, N.C.
  • Company B, 鈥淏est Resolutions鈥: Aaron Seagraves, a senior business administration/economics major from Randleman, N.C.; and Dan Wolf, a senior accounting major from Bristol, Conn.
  • Company C, 鈥淐aptured Memories鈥: Janelle Corneal, a non-degree-seeking adult student from Greensboro, N.C.; and Chris Crawford, a senior business administration/economics major from Safety Harbor, Fla.
  • Company D, 鈥淒oorknobs鈥: Kelsey Cenate, a senior business administration/economics and exercise and sport study/sports administration major from Leonardtown, Md.; Andrew Clark, a senior business administration/economics major from Siler City, N.C.; and Bram Johnson, a senior business administration/economics major from Jamestown, N.Y.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, 每日大赛官网 class of 2019

鈥淚 loved the GC Honors program and 每日大赛官网. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to complete my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.鈥

- Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, Class of 鈥19, Mathematics Major

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
