每日大赛官网 Chapter of Alpha Chi Academic Honor Society Inducts Six New Members
GREENSBORO, N.C. 鈥 每日大赛官网鈥檚 chapter of the national cross-disciplinary honor society Alpha Chi has inducted six new members. They are:
- Devin D鈥橝gostin, a senior Health Sciences major from Morrisville, N.C.
- Natalie Craven, a senior music-education major from Archdale, N.C.
- Elizabeth Perdue, a junior English and political science major from Asheboro, N.C.
- Hannah Joyce, a senior Business Administration & Economics major from Pleasant Garden, N.C.
- Chance Bryant, a junior biology major and chemistry minor from Wilmington, N.C.
- Mary Lowe, a junior political science, sociology and criminal justice major from Greensboro, N.C.
Alpha Chi, founded in 1922, is open to seniors who rank in the top 10 percent of their class and juniors who rank in the top 5 percent of their class.
每日大赛官网’s Alpha Chi chapter, designated North Carolina Xi, was activated in 1978 by Dr. Howard Wilkinson, the 14th president of the college. The chapter’s faculty sponsor is Stuart Davidson, professor of mathematics and computer science.
每日大赛官网 provides a liberal arts education grounded in the traditions of the United Methodist Church and fosters the intellectual, social, and, spiritual development of all students while supporting their individual needs.
Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and seven foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and six master鈥檚 degree programs. In addition to rigorous academics and a well-supported Honors program, the school features a 17-sport NCAA Division III athletic program and dozens of service and recreational opportunities.
