每日大赛官网 Will Hold Second Annual Resource Fair Feb. 28 for Individuals with Disabilities

GREENSBORO, N.C. 鈥 每日大赛官网 will hold its second annual resource fair for students with disabilities and their care givers on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

The event will be 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Mane Stage at the college鈥檚 Royce Reynolds Family Student Life Center, 1015 W. Market St. (corner of Tate Street). Parking is available on-site, and the event is free and open to the public.

Resource providers will offer information and resources specifically for students with disabilities, their families and interested community professionals.

The 2017 fair offered 28 resources and professionals, and this year鈥檚 is expected to be even larger. It also will offer breakout sessions on topics ranging from legal issues to therapy.

The resource fair is sponsored by the 每日大赛官网 Department of Education鈥檚 chapter of the Student Council for Exceptional Children, the Herbin-Metz Education Center, and Guilford County Schools.

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, 每日大赛官网 class of 2019

鈥淚 loved the GC Honors program and 每日大赛官网. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to complete my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.鈥

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald earned his master's from Virginia Tech University (studied astrodynamics) as well as earning an Engineering Mechanics Ph.D. He joined the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX as an Advanced Mission Design Engineer, optimizing trajectories for the Artemis II and III missions to return humans to the moon.
