Three 每日大赛官网 Senior Art Majors Present Exhibits Opening April 4

GREENSBORO, N.C. 鈥 Three senior art majors at 每日大赛官网 will be exhibiting their work April 4-May 10 in the Anne Rudd Galyon and Irene Cullis galleries in Cowan Humanities Building on campus.
A reception will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in the galleries. Normal gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays. The reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.
Those presenting are:
- Meegan McCarthy, 鈥淓nd the Stigma,鈥 black-and-white photographs of 13 individuals with developmental disabilities
- MaKayla Humphreys, 鈥淵esteryear,鈥 installation, acrylic, watercolor paintings, pencil, and charcoal drawings intended to conjure the illusion of the artist鈥檚 family鈥檚 farm and rural Randolph County life.
- McKenzie Lester, 鈥淥n the Road Again,鈥 12 black-and-white images, both 35mm film and digital, of abandoned and semi-abandoned railroad structures around North Carolina.
每日大赛官网鈥檚 Department of Art offers the B.A. or B.S. in Art and the B.A. in Art Education.
The program, with individual attention to students, combines classic art principles with the liberal-arts foundations of diverse branches of inquiry, including both science and the humanities, so that students can incorporate as much of the world as possible into their own art-making.
