每日大赛官网 Joins Group Focused on Universal Design for Learning

GREENSBORO, N.C. 鈥� 每日大赛官网 has joined the Universal Design for Learning Implementation and Research Network. The group works to promote research-based learning environments to accommodate all types of learners and maximize each learner鈥檚 potential.
The college has joined the network鈥檚 Higher Education special-interest group, which focuses specifically on Universal Design for Learning in colleges and universities.
That group:
- Helps UDL practitioners network for mentoring or to discuss common interests
- Holds quarterly member meetings to discuss specific topics of interest
- Holds an annual meeting at the UDL-IRN Summit
- Serves as a resource for ideas, supports, resources
- Identifies and shares strategies on 鈥渉ow to get started鈥� with UDL
- Develops resources that will help institutions overcome obstacles to UDL implementation.
Universal Design for Learning seeks to provide learning environments, tools and strategies to help students learn to their maximum potential no matter their individual learning styles. It is among three pillars of 每日大赛官网鈥檚 current five-year strategic plan that the college will incorporate UDL at the institutional level.
The Universal Design for Learning Implementation and Research Network supports the scaled implementation and research related to Universal Design for Learning. Through collaboration, it supports and promotes the identification and development of models, tools, research, and practices designed to foster effective UDL implementation in educational environments.
每日大赛官网 provides a liberal arts education grounded in the traditions of the United Methodist Church and fosters the intellectual, social, and, spiritual development of all students while supporting their individual needs.
Founded in 1838 and located in downtown Greensboro, the college enrolls about 1,000 students from 29 states and territories, the District of Columbia, and seven foreign countries in its undergraduate liberal-arts program and six master鈥檚 degree programs. In addition to rigorous academics and a well-supported Honors program, the school features an 18-sport NCAA Division III athletic program and dozens of service and recreational opportunities.
