MA TESOL

The Master of Arts in TESOL is a 10-course, 30-credit graduate program with a focus on language, culture, pedagogy, and research. The degree is offered in an on-line format that allows students flexibility to choose when and where they study but provides ample opportunities for student-to-student and student-to-faculty interaction. We pride ourselves on bridging the distance that some learners feel in remote classes by developing personal connections with our students.

TESOL Students working

At 每日大赛官网, students select how many credits they want to take each session depending on their personal and work-related obligations. This flexibility makes our program ideal for working professionals. The typical student completes the program in 15-18 months but fast-track (12 month) options are available to those with the time to dedicate to full-time rigorous study.

The MA TESOL curriculum provides a solid core of essential knowledge of TESOL teaching and learner characteristics and also allows students to customize their studies with unique elective courses targeting specific aspects of the TESOL field. It is even possible to simultaneously earn a graduate certificate in a specialized area with no additional investment of time or money.

TESOL Students

“I was nervous about starting an online program. I really don鈥檛 like computers and thought I鈥檇 feel isolated. But the TESOL master鈥檚 program isn鈥檛 that way at all. I鈥檝e learned so much from my professors and the other students and I feel like I am really heard when I offer comments in online discussions. It鈥檚 been very easy to stay connected.”

Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, 每日大赛官网 class of 2019

鈥淚 loved the GC Honors program and 每日大赛官网. I felt safe and a sense of genuine belonging at the college. I worked closely with my thesis advisor and professors who helped inspire me to define my path and passion of interest. That path has led me to complete my doctoral studies in Engineering Mechanics.鈥

- Dr. Josh Fitzgerald, Class of 鈥19, Mathematics Major
